FAQs

*Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months after your scheduled return from the Bahamas*

How do I get around the island?

The main mode of transportation on the island is golf cart. Most everything on the island is a five-minute golf cart ride away! Make sure you book your golf cart in advance of your arrival. Please refer to the Travel page for more information on how and where to book.

Please note, on Harbour Island they drive on the left side of the road.

Do I need to make lunch or dinner reservations?

We recommend making dinner reservations for Thursday night before the bonfire (only light bites will be served), and any other night that you will not be attending wedding festivities. You don't need reservations for lunch, however, we advise eating before 12 pm or after 1:30 pm to avoid the lunchtime rush. Please refer to the Things to Do page for dining suggestions.

Are children welcome at the wedding?

You are more than welcome to bring your children to Harbour Island, however, all of the wedding events are adults only. If you need babysitting services, please contact Conch and Coconut at concierge@conchandcoconut.com.

Do I need Bahamian currency?

No. U.S. dollars are accepted everywhere, but if you use cash, you will most likely receive change in Bahamian dollars. Be sure to bring cash upon your arrival for the taxi and water taxi to get to the island. Most of the stores and restaurants take credit cards, but a few are cash only, so be sure to ask before dining.

Do I need an outlet converter?

No, the outlets in the Bahamas are the same as the U.S.

One more thing to keep in mind!

On Harbour Island, everything runs on Bahamian time (a slower speed than what we’re used to). So sit back, relax, have a rum cocktail or two, and enjoy the moment!
